One user noted “Exact ejection fraction values are helpful and critical for patient management” and another commented “the 3D view is the "wow" factor”.
“We are pleased with the outcome of the usability study receiving positive feedback from clinicians for our next-generation VMS+ 3.0 system. The new system design will open up cardiac imaging to new possibilities in patient comfort and clinical outcomes,” noted Desmond Hirson, Ventripoint President.
The VMS+ 3.0 system is a cost-effective diagnostic tool for measuring whole heart function in pediatric and adult patients utilizes standard 2D ultrasound to obtain volumetric measurements and ejection fractions for all 4 chambers of the heart. The new compact and portable system can be set up within minutes providing a streamlined approach within the clinical echo environment where patient case load is continually increasing.
Until regulatory approvals have been received, the VMS+ 3.0 system is not commercially available but is available for investigational use.
