What is VMS™? a. VMS provides 3D quantification of the RV through the convenience of 2D echo imaging.
What diseases are supported? a. Any general condition of the heart including Heart Failure, Valve disease, Tetrology of Fallot, Pulmonary Hypertension and d-TGV (post Atrial switch)*.
What ultrasound systems are supported? a. All ultrasound systems.
To how many ultrasounds can VMS connect? a. It can be used with multiple systems of the same make and model, one at a time.
How much time does it take to do a procedure? a. It takes approximately 10 minutes once the ultrasound images have been acquired.
How much space does the system take? a. The system has a footprint about the same as a mid-size ultrasound system.
Are there any additional ultrasound views required to use the VMS system? a. VMS requires standard cardiac views.
Is there additional reimbursement for using the VMS system? a. In the U.S., CPT code 76377 – 3D rendering with interpretation and reporting of CT, MRI, ultrasound, or other tomographic modality; requiring image post processing on an independent workstation can be used.*
